YourCounsel Blog - A Legal Resource for Founders, Entrepreneurs, Business Owners and Executives
February 24, 2017
This is the first of what will be a series of blog posts which will provide valuable insights into what we have learned through working with our business clients. Our goal for the blog is to make it the go-to resource for founders, entrepreneurs, business owners and anyone interested in how the law affects business.
Although YourCounsel was founded just eight months ago, the firm has had the good fortune of working with a diverse range of businesses. These businesses include high-growth technology companies building social media platforms, artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, 3D printing technology, and software as a service applications. We have also provided counsel to professional services organizations ranging from software development companies to professional business coaches. Through this work we have learned many valuable lessons and will share some of those lessons in our blog posts, as well as provide answers to commonly asked questions we receive from our clients.
Topics that we anticipate covering in this blog include:
Developing a Legal Roadmap for your business
The importance of selecting a name
Choosing the correct legal structure
Contracts - when you should have a written agreement
Financing a business
Preparing for an acquisition or initial public offering
We would love to hear from you. If you have a question or would like us to write on a particular topic, please let us know!
YourCounsel's mission is to become the premier business law firm in the Southeast by providing sound counsel to our clients and helping them reach their maximum potential. Let us help you turn your dream into reality!
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
